Angry Question about trading

I was selling an item for 200k... I got offered 180k and took it.

So we decide that I would offer my item, and he would give me 100k and 5:1 vamp string as collateral. Then he would buy back the string for 80k. All good

So we do the 100k plus string exchange, then the guy says thx for trading... I say WTF.. you said you would buy back the string etc etc.. a few choice words i threw in though :P

So what can i do about this.. I took screenies of the convo etc.. can I report this guy?.. or am I just **** out of luck? cause this sux.. I didn't need trades.. I am getting rid of items for guild money etc.

Advice appreciated.

What on God's good Earth where you trading for 200K?

The rip-off artist meets the scammer. Sounds like a match made in Heaven.

There should be a section with the title "cry babies".

All the time its never their fault.

Beramee DID you or DID you not assume a RISK when you made the trade that way? Of course you didnt! Nobody ever does. Next one of these I read im going to have to spam it with the definition of risk.

Other than that all I can tell you is YOU hit the ACCEPT button. What YOU deem as a fair is not universal............God I would hate to have the job of answering these peoples pleas for punishment everyday.

Props to you Orderless. Here, I'll do it for you.

RISK: A factor, element or course involving uncertain danger; hazard.

Right on smitty. Sooner or later some of these fellas are going to learn that if you dont want to get burned you stay away from the fire.

For the record though I do not and never will support scammers, it just happens that not only do I lack support for "victims" (used real loosely here) I feel they are a bigger hazard to the game.

Yes Spike, it is p-o-s-s-i-b-l-e to think before I post and I just did so.

If A-net had even the slightest inclination that any 1 item in their game would be worth more than 100K, would they limit the amount of gold one could carry?

I agree people are just plain dumb for paying those prices, so you can't blame the seller, but really now, do you expect sympathy for the seller?

Mb you should try thinking? Here I will even give you something to think about.

Examples of legitimate grevinces would be hacking into a account and taking the money, stealing someones acct or spamming a lobby with racial slurs. Those are real abuses.

What you describe is childish I will explain this so even the kids will understand. To play guildwars YOU are NOT required to use TRADE. It is an extra feature. So you decide to use the trade and you assume a risk. you dont want want to work to get to droknar or find the item you want so YOU decide to take a easier route.

Now your asking the gw staff to wade through your petty little trade disputes and mediate them. What a crock. Imagine this you got a guy making 40k a year working on solving problems and his email is filling up with this drivel from little babies who think he should fix THEIR mistakes. Look here is the bottom line. YOU make it harder for people to do their jobs with your endless complaints about how you were wronged. Which you already know was because you assumed a risk and now expect them to hold someone liable.....Over what a couple grand of online fake money that you obviously didnt care enough about to becareful with.

You disgust me. I firmly believe that each and everyone of you that bog down the gw staff with this garbage should be flogged in public then made to sleep with the pigs for a few nights, then mb you can think of a ligitimate grip. Right now you got nothin but cry baby syndrome thats getting pretty old. I read these forums everyday in hopes to better my knowledge of the game and each day there is more and more babies on here diluting the content with your senseless drivel

^^Interesting post, the topic creator probably can't think logically right now since he's so pissed off about the trade. And to the topic creator, you can sell the 5/1 bow upgrade for 80-100k easily in LA dis 1.

Stop being so greedy and charging more then a person can carry and bingo Gone is the problem. So help me god if Arenanet increases the gold limit in inventory to cater to these hoarding inflating bastards, Well I don't know what I would do. But I can imagine the worst terrorist impersionation I can think of. I know they will not though so I feel prety good about things.

when you ID an item and see the BASE value of those Items THAT is the value to base profits off of. in some of you peoples opinion some things seems fair to you to trade for 1500% profit. you people make me SICK.

God forbid we base value off of supply and demand.

Got a 20% sword pommel of enchanting? I'll gladly pay 375 for it.

no I don't but I have GIVEN away those to people both in and Out of my guild. This is EXACTLY why we need a NPC to handle that stuff so the maket is based on TRUE supply and demand, not on Inflation player vendors. the Rune Trader did that and suggestions are in play for the Weapons crafter as well. see here. . it took time but fair markets finally started coming in line, when people like myslef started dumpping runes on the market through the trader to keep the prices down. and Arenanet themselves have done this as well.

I severly doubt you've given away 20% sword pommels of enchanting.

There is a collector that will give you an ascalon bow (short bow flight statistics) in mineral springs that has 15% damage while health is above 50% for like 5 mino horns or something.

People will still pay 500k for a short bow or halfmoon with this mod.

As long as people will pay it the price will not go down.
